Embolism is a great band that was active from 1996 and in 2013 he recorded " Evillumination ". Slovakia. They are four brilliant musicians who are used to playing metal, progressive rock, jazz and similar complicated styles. During the life of the group, they decided to share 2 members of the slovak grind-crust band Abortion. Given the cicunstancias Embolism is not the typical gore-grind band, but neither of mince-grind band. Musically they do grindcore with a number of influences such as : death metal, hardcore, sludge, etc. but when it comes to writing the lyrics, they deal about personal, intimate themes, feelings, emotions and even some political songs such as: "To grow the Law" , "Prison" or "Smile 7". The Embolism album covers are not typical of gore, bondage, terror, etc. but neither have not an aesthetic clearly hardcore or punk. The covers are simply original, personal and unique. The cover of the first debut album (for example) was really awesome: a surreal picture that seems made by Salvador Dali himself. Musically they are very good musicians, they play very well each instrument and its production work in the studio is immaculate, the album came out really well. The band was and is still very unknown, but it is worth pausing a moment.

I love the debut long album of this band from Slovakia. Not too much avanguardist like Brutal Truth, but nor old-school grindcore like early Napalm Death. We can to affirm EMBOLISM sounded here like grindcore with many other influences: punk, crust, thrash, death, etc. and about lyrics, the same like the rest of their discography: social issues, politics, personal emotions, etc. I prefer this one over the rest of their discography. Even the cover of the album is simply great and awesome.
