We here at "Three Dimensional Records" are excited to announce the first 12" from the best Mod band left standing in Minneapolis: Real Numbers. Every detail of this record was meticulously crafted and it shows. Quality control is the name of the game here: Real Numbers took their best 14 songs and put 'em on an LP spinning at 33 rpms for maximum volume and excitement. There's narry a duff cut, and the quality of songwriting on display is going to surprise a lot of people. From would be hit singles like "Might I See You Tonight" to more nuanced DIY-type tunes like "No Exceptions" every song on here is great. In an era full of overhyped disposable pap, this is one record that is going to stand the test of time. Im affraid here there is almost nothing to do with Mod 60s but more Mod 79 and punk-rock oriented. Short songs, simple, direct and with few distortion which remind old surf-rock? Great album.

A miraculous discovery.... Earlier this year BL’AST! guitarist, Mike Neider contacted Southern Lord with news that he had found some mysterious old BL’AST! master tapes in a abandoned storage locker. Southern Lord, fanatical about BL’AST!, wasted no time in sending the tapes to a studio to be baked. Needless to say, after 25 years gathering dust, the quality had deteriorated. Even when the tapes had been baked, nobody could have anticipated what would follow. With the tapes baked and audio digitised, Southern Lord contacted long time BL’AST! fiend, Dave Grohl about mixing this recording, his response was an enthusiastic “FUCK YEAH!, LETS DO THIS”! . Whilst inside Grohl’s famous 606 Studios a remarkable discovery was made - a completely unheard, unreleased BL’AST! recording session from the mid-80s. The lineup of the band at the time of the recording included second guitarist William Duvall (from Neon Christ & now the vocalist for Alice In Chains). Unfortunately his tenure with BL’AST! was short-lived and no recordings from that lineup were ever released. All things considered, it is miraculous that this record survived it’s journey and that everyone who was involved in bringing this recording to life, could be. Everything fell into place, when it could have easily crumbled along the way. This record is a time capsule that is meant to be heard.

Zounds are a brittish anarchist dark-post-punk band formed in 1979 from loose jamming sessions around the Reading area. Originally, they were part of the cassette culture movement, releasing material on the Fuck Off Records label, and were also involved in the squatting and free festival scene. The name of the band is derived from the old English minced oath coined by William Shakespeare: "zounds", which is a contraction of "God's wounds", referring to the crucifixion wounds of Jesus Christ, formerly used as a mildly blasphemous oath. Their debut "Can't Cheat Karma" (EP, 1980, Crass Records) is perhaps their most known recording but it´s important also to mentions their next works.

All the songs on this album were recorded in 1979 and constituted two days of studio work, then only on cassette demo tape until 1985, when the band decided to release it on LP format under its own record label "Hairy Pie Records". Quality sound is quite bad, and all of songs here were never included nor official albums neither live concerts. Later, several record labels decided to make the same concept with different artwork, cover and back, such as: Dojo Records, We Bite Records, Dr. Strange Reords, Captain Oi!, Let Them Eat Vinyl, etc.

Peter and the Test Tube Babies are a punk rock band that was formed in the small town of Peacehaven, UK in 1978 by Del Strangefish and Peter Bywaters. Due to their humorous tongue-in-cheek lyrics, they have been considered part of the Punk Pathetique subgenre. Peter and the Test Tube Babies were first featured in "Sounds" magazine in July 1980, and after a John Peel Radio One session, made their vinyl debut on the Brighton compilation album "Vaultage 78". They played at festivals including the 11th Antifest in 2005. They also had two songs on the Oi! compilation Oi! the Album in that same year. They favoured absurd lyrics and strange titles, such as "The Queen Gives Good Blow Jobs". In 1982, they covered the chart-topping Gary Glitter hit "I'm the Leader of the Gang (I Am)" on their album "Pissed and Proud" recorded during a live concert in 1980.  When the band is not touring, Peter Bywaters offers personal English as a second language tuition on a live-in basis at his home in Brighton. Del Strangefish currently hosts a Punk Rock Radio Show every Wednesday between 4 - 5pm GMT on Brighton and Hove Community Radio. The band continues to perform to the current day (2017). Their polished, professional live show is in contrast to the non-serious nature of their lyrics. This album was recorded live in Hammersmith, Wood Green & Blackpool-August Bank Holiday 1980.

Excellent and Brilliant. In my personal opinion this is no doubt the best P&TTB album ever. In all aspects is excellent: creativity, originality, quality sound, melody and the classic intro and outro of the disk, which has been used for another bands. Is a pitty many young people of nowadays doesn´t knoe this album because I think is one of the best punk rock albums ever. And about 80, I can say one of the 5 best punk albums of 80s decade. The album was made and distribute by five different labels, but I think nowadays is  "Captain Oi Records" which do this task, so, If anyone want to buy this pearl in physical format write to the label here below.  Excellent

This is perhaps the most understood album of the band and the most rejected for its public. Recorded in 1986, in my country (Spain) was in the shops in 1987, and almost nobody was agree with the new P&TTB musical style, a mix with punk, synth pop, new wave and a little touches of goth. Maybe styles in vogue for the mainstream public, but not for the punks, skins or hardcore from the late 80s. Anyway, If you make an "effort" and forget this band is P&TTB, the album is not bad at all. The sound is totally mainstream with even an electronic drums and keybords, but the songs are good, very good. Firstly I hated this work but nowadays I sincerely like very much

After a bit of a lay-off we all got back together to make another album, unlike shit-loads of other bands we'd never actually split-up (though quite a few people thought we had), we'd just had a break from each other. Anyway in 1990 we signed a new deal with Rebel Records (part of SPV) from Germany. You may remember that around the end of the Eighties/early 90's that pop music was completely dominated by Stock, Aitken & Waterman, you just could not escape hearing Rick Astley, Jason Donovan, Kylie Minogue, Bananarama , etc., god it was awful, just soul destroying meaningless crap. Bearing this in mind, we thought doing our own Stock, Aitken & Waterman covers would bre a right laugh. Simply jokes, sense of humor and fun covers of Stock, Aitken & Waterman tunes become in punk rock sound.

What a pitty most of people doesn´t know this album entitled "Cringe" even myself until few time ago, because I am affraid we are in front of one very good P&TTB albums next to the essential (of course) "The matting sounds of south american frogs". The quality sound and the production work is brilliant, and the are some little touches of "alternative rock" on the guitars, even hard-rock sometimes. A very symphaty work which is high recommended to listen to unles you don´t like punk rock and derivates. One of the best things of P&TTB is the fact they recorded always its albums with the best quality sound possible, because these people think why punk must sound bad and weird? why? not always of course. Life and world is full of injustices, and this album fall in the forgot and was underrated... there was justice at all, so this album is truly great and well done.

Excellent album issue in 1995, just in the middle of the american melodic punk pop explosion (Green Day, Offspring, etc.) a very few people listened to this then. I discovered it few years after, I believe in 97 or 98 and I realized our P&TTB friends had done another excellent and brilliant album of pure brittish punk rock 1977 style. As always nothing to do with hardcore but just 77 sound, 14 tracks and almost 42 of music. Highly recommended for those who love this style in its version more brittish or european.   Excellent

I buy this release in 1998 or 1999, I don´t remember exactly, and then and now, I have the same opinion. Is not a bad album at all, but during the 90s decade P&TTB made its best album entitled "supermodel", and perhaps this one was also underrated, but If you listen to it several times, you can to discover a good album in several aspects: sound, composition, lyrics, etc. Recommended.

I never had listen to this debut album of Reincidentes since now.. and is now when I realize this is no doubt their best work in all their large discography. It was a self-released disc, limited edition of 1000 copies, distributed at live concerts and nowadays is very difficult to find a copy. And I wonder how the majority on Reincidentes public has like a favourite anotheralbums and nobody speaks about their debut. This is punk. This is honest, true and modest.

The germ of Reincidentes was in its first punk band "Incidente Local", which had a brief stint in the scene of his city (Sevilla) between 1985 and 1986. Later, members were actively involved in the student protests of 1987, giving a concert at the University of Sevilla, then occupied by students. After this, Reincidentes took a big step towards consolidation in the Juanjo Pizarro recording studio. The model that emerged from the study helped them to participate in a contest sponsored by the Rock Council of Seville in 1989, where they were finalists. Since then, Reincidentes has grown and developed his personality, becoming one of the most urban rock bands cutting social in Spain and South America countries. Its lyrics are almost the most important element in the band, so they have fans only in the Spanish-speaking countries, in the other countries Reincidentes are almost totally unknown. Its 2 first albums (this is the second) its music had a little touches of punk, but after the third album the band turn 180º and became in a complet mainstream and commercial rock´n´roll band.

"Razor Sharp Daggers" is Easily one of the greatest albums of all time grindcore. Up There With Napalm's legendary "From Enslavement to Obliteration". What makes it so good? Pretty much everything. There's the speed, the vocals, the all out insanity of good grindcore, Could you ask for anything in grindcore is on this album. Production wise this album delivers. The drums are loud, Which is Important Because blast beats Tend to lose some of the power if the drums are too low. The guitars are heavy as hell. The bass is pretty heavily distorted and sounds kinda fuzzy, similar to what Cliff Burton did With His bass. The vocals are all over the place in the best way imaginable. Pitch-shifted sections are there, screaming vocals are vomity type Also present, and of course the vocals are guttural type Gorguts The most common. The back and forth Between the vocals are perfect.The music itself is pretty much straight grindcore, lots of blast beats, lots of thrash beats, and very heavy riffs like the one found in "A for Arrogance." This album is very balanced as far as song lengths go. A lot of songs under a minute long, awesome Which are the typical grindcore songs with tons of blast beats. The longer songs, usually we Between 1 and 2 minutes long are perfect. The few longer songs are the only songs I have a problem comfortable with. The songs longer than 3 or 4 minutes are just plain boring. At song 26 May you notice a production shift. Songs are off after 25 number of splits and EPs. Pretty much every song on this album is amazing. It's got everything to grindcore fan could want. If you enjoy "From Enslavement to Obliteration" you will like this. An essential album to own if you like grindcore. Essential. (note by Grain )

Agathocles is a Belgian political grindcore band that they began in 1985. They are mainly known for producing a large quantity of split seven-inch EPs (144) but less long albums. They play a style of grindcore that they have dubbed "mincecore". Agathocles first started doing concerts a year later, in 1985, although audiences were always small due to there only being a small minority who listened to the type of extreme music the band was producing. The band also made a radio appearance, being interviewed on the local radio station, in the same year. The Agathocles styles has changed according the albums, some ones sound very close to metal genre (death, doom, thrash, etc.) and other more to punk genre (hardcore, crustcore, d-beat, etc.). The only one element in all albums is musically the grindcore base and lyrical, with political / social lyrics. This "Black clouds determinate" had a lot of metal influences, specially doom metal.

After a lengthy tenure in ALL band and two albums with GOODBYE HARRY, vocalist Scott Reynolds moved on to Buffalo, NY, to form THE PAVERS in 1998. Continuing on with the hyper-paced pop-punk of his previous bands, Reynolds got together with Annabel members Tim Patterson (guitar), Eric Tuberdyke (guitar), Mark Galley (bass), and Josh Heatley (drums) to complete the lineup. Owned and "Operated Records" eventually released THE PAVERS first album, Local 1500, a year after they got together. They followed it up with an EP in 2002, Wrecking Ball, on CI Records. An excellent album which I strongly recommend.
