Genre:  rock
Style:     Punk     Hardcore

What can we say of a split LP with the canadians DOA ? that is just great. Punk, Hardcore and touches of old and classic rock'n'roll show that the 2 bands , although very veterans make better music, stronger and faster than when they had 18 years. It is my personal opinion. Regarding ATTENTAT SONORE and also DOA I prefer its more recent works, that its inception. The truth is that I do not know why, but so it is. Perhaps it is that in the beginning it sounded both a little bit amateur little ( as all bands , of course) and now their sound is more compact and has very good quality. With ATTENTAT SONORE there is the difference they sing in 2 languages (French and English) and their sound is perhaps more British, closer to Oi! music. Personally I think that vinyl is a format a little "dead" because of its drawbacks and shortcomings : it is very delicate, fragile, heavy, large, etc. but I must to admit that is aesthetically very beautiful, awesome and attractive. Something romantic. If you can not buy it for whatever reason , I think there are already some track on youtube , I recommend a listen.

Combining the sheer blind energy of early american hardcore from 1982 and the positive aspects of the european anarcho-punk scene, the band continues after so many years to write, record, distribute, play material, on all kinds of stages possible, from the European squats to some bigger venues or fests. Since 1988, ATTENTAT SONORE always stood its ground and took a stand when needed, playing benefits and keeping it real. In this album the band get a sound faster and perhaps more agressive (strictly musical, of course) and it remind bands from UK punk 82 like GBH, Varukers, Chaos UK... but continuing with a positive / optimistic lyrics and clear and clean sound not noisy at all.

The years will elapse and will ATTENTAT SONORE getting an increasingly solid, compact and with a higher technical level sound. Without giving up the initial idea was that this group of friends had when they were adolescents of 14 or 15 years old, the music and lyrics are getting better. Perhaps this album sounds noticeably faster than the previous, but not at all hardcore, crustcore or similar styles, this is still pure, simple, direct, easy and seminal punk rock, street punk, oi! music or whatever you want to describe it. As a small difference, to mention that this time there is a greater presence of female voices, film extracts from and spoken words about political / social issues. Perhaps this is my ATTENTAT SONORE favourite album.

Year:  2007
Country:  France ,  Colombia
City:  Limoges ,  Medellín
Label:   Sin Piedad rec.
Format:  CD
Edition:  include some videos
Tracks:   22
Time:   48 min.
Genre:  rock
Style:    Punk   ,   Hardcore

Following the tradition that has ATTENTAT SONORE to make split albums with other bands, this time it was the turn of the Colombians FERTIL MISERIA, for my luck they singing in Spanish and I can understand all their messages without problem ( :D). Both bands are anarchists and libertarians, but the Frenchs still sound musically his faithful and traditional 1977 punk rock and the Colombians, however, sound pretty faster, almost hardcore. The album cover is very explicit and direct: the opulence and wealth, against poverty and social marginalization. And this situation exists in the rich world (the Eiffiel Tour like a symbol) and the Third World (building in the city of Medellín, Colombia). I liked this split when I heard it in his day, is sounds very energetic and strong, hard.

Anarcho punk since 1988. This new four track EP is dedicated to the workers who went on strike after the abuse from their bosses in Limoges in the spring of 1905. This is excellent anarchopunk played with plenty of energy and intensity with dual male and female vocals. The lyrics are in French and English and come with brief explanations. This is a really inspiring record released by Gorilla (sic) Vinyl, Do It Yourself, Strongly Opposed and Maloka." (Agitate zine #7 2006, UK).

I remember when I received this CD by mail in 2001, when I was still at a fanzine (paper ) called " Formiga Red Zine" . Then I received very little information and material about the hardcore / punk that existed outside of Spain and I was thrilled . After several listens I realized that that band so unknown , practicing a musical with a very decent level , acceptable , mature and well recorded . I remember it sounded compact , well-produced and with intelligent lyrics that tried to escape the stereotypes , clichés and phrases infant . I do not mean that ATTENTAT SONORE is an intellectual nor academic band , I think they understand Anarchism as a simple way of organizing society : no class. no religion . no country. no money. no State . Anarchy is a way of organizing society and is a form of order, harmony and wellfare , and it has nothing to do with The Exploited singing nonsense about "violence, nihilism, chaos and disorder " . All ATTENTAT SONORE discs I think they want to spread this idea , and they do this by getting music to like punks , skinheads and hardcore kids . As anecdote to mention that the work was made only in vinyl format and includes a good cover of the brittish oi! band The Partisans.
