Label:  Epitaph
Format:  CD , LP
Tracks:  14
Time:  35 min.
Genre:  rock
Style:       Oi!

Since forming in january 1980, the band has releases more records than even some of the most long standing punk bands, toured all over the world, released records on labels such as EPITAPH, TAANG, BYO, TKO, DAILY and many more, as well as having Lars Frederickson (Rancid) produce this "We want the truth..." in 1997  and having shared a split release with Dropkick Murphys. The band run also his own label "Captain Oi! Records" well known over the world to support musical styles such as: oi!, ska, mod, punk, etc. The Business started in 1980 playing punk music with some other influences like pub-rock or glam-rock and little by little its sounds became more soft and melodic with albums like "keep the faith". After several years of silence the band released this "The truth..." in 1997 with a sound totally explosive and full of energy. The disk was released by the swedish label "Burning Heart Records" a parent label of the american "Epitaph Records". Many people consider this work as the best of all its discography... and me too. EXCELLENT

"Keep the faith"
Year:  1994
Country:  UK
City:  London
Label:  Century Media
Format:  LP , CD
Tracks:  13
Time:  36 min.
Genre:  rock
Style:        Oi!

The Business, one of our earliest Oi! outfits, kept the flag flying longer than most, but by 1988 even they’d had enough. Their last UK show was the legendary Main Event in London, and then no more was heard of the cheeky chappies for around four years. In 1992 singer Micky Fitz made a tentative ‘guest’ appearance at London’s Astoria with The Elite. The audience response got him thinking, and he reformed the band for a Bobby Moore Cancer Trust charity gig with former members Steve Whale, Steve Kent, Micky Fairbairn and new bassist Lol Proctor. The Business found that they had a surprising new fanbase around Europe and the US, and toured both territories, releasing the Anywhere But Here single for German label Walzwerk in April 1994. At the end of the same year they confirmed their new-found status with the magnificent "keep the faith", on Century Media. Lyrically, the old streetwise themes prevailed, but the production was much lusher than the band had previously enjoyed, and they wisely upped the pace in keeping with the times. It laid the foundation for the ‘new’ Business, which, with Fitz still at the helm, continues packing ’em in at punk festivals around the world.(*NOTE = Reviewed by Shane Baldwin).

"Welcome to the real world"
Year:  1988
Country:  UK
City:  London
Label:  Daily Records
Format:  LP , CD
Tracks:  12
Time: 36 min.
Genre:  rock
Style:         Oi!

This is the third BUSINESS album released by "Link Records" in 1988 on vinyl format. Lyrically the band continue to be a typical street punk / oi! music band as early 80s (real life, working class, problems, drugs, etc.) but musically the band make an style a bit close to classic rock´n´roll and hard rock, specially in the solo and rhythmic guitars. This is probably not its best popular work, but anyway is a quite good album which If you listen to it several times you like it. Mid and slow tempo, simple rhythmic drums, clear voices and direct lyrics. The album is also quite long with fourteen songs and almost fifty minutes duration. After "Link Records" release there were more different releases on CD, LP and cassette format through labels such as Captain Oi!, Taang! and finally "Daily Records" from Barcelona, which in 2014 made a vinyl edition (on black or red colour) in a limited edition to 500 copies, with some changes in the artwork aspect. Really nice work but sadlly their last one until 1994.

The second studio album from South London Oi! music legends BUSINESS originally issued through label "Harry May Records" in 1985, gets the vinyl re-issue treatment courtesy of our friends "DailyRecords" from Barcelona, Catalonia (Spain).  Great packaging featuring an inner bag with all the lyrics plus never before seen pictures from the front cover session. The album is one the most popular but the most of the band, and includes songs (anthems) such as: "Spanish jails", "Drinking and driving, hurry up harry" or "Saturday's heroes".

Label:  Secret
Format:  LP , CD
Tracks:  13
Time:  35 min.
Genre:  rock
Style:        Punk  Rock

THE BUSINESS are a british rock band started in january 1980 by four friends from London. Their passion for football, beer, saturday night parties and other facts, related quickly the band to the Oi! movement, which was and is still related to extrem right or even racists attitudes, but BUSINESS as other bands (Sham 69, Angelic Upstarts, Red Alert, etc.) had and have strongly affirmed its anti-fascist and anti-racist attitude. The band was active from 1980 until 1988, and re-active in 1992 until present. After few singles BUSINESS recorded this debut album entitled "Suburban rebels" which can to describe it as punk rock more than oi!, perhaps it sound more speed and dynamic than the typical oi! music, but yes, their lyrics are typically oi! thematic: football, beer, parties, nationalism, etc.
