THE OPPRESSED’s first two singles – “Victims” and “Never Say Die” – plus their 1983 “Oi! The Tape” session whilst “Fatal Blow” includes five demos from 1981 / 82 and three Oi! cover versions from 1984. Two historical documents on one value for money CD. Led by the legend that is Roddy Moreno, THE OPPRESSED hailed from Cardiff in Wales and specialized in basic, no nonsense, to the point Skinhead Oi! Debut LP "Oi! Oi! Music" is a must have for all followers of the movement and self financed EP’s like "Never Say Die” and "Victims” showed that they were happy to put their money where their mouth was – a point Roddy further proved when he set up the (now highly collectable) Oi! Records in the late 80’s. Hardcore bands like Stigmata, Blood For Blood and Kill Your Idols have all covered Roddy’s songs which makes a change from him covering everyone else’s. The band started in 1980 and disbanded in 1984, few months after its debut album.

After ten years of total music silence Roddy Moreno and his friends decided to return to musical scene and to try to clean the public image of skinhead movement and its original anti-racist roots. So we have again one of the first skinhead bands in Europe with strong anti-fascist message with new album in a times (then mid 90s) not very good for this musical style neither ideology. Another sample of courage of this band was this album, wich collected seventeen covers of bands well known for everybody such as: Sham 69, Cockney Rejects, 4 Skins, The Partisans and other anthems from the 80s decade. This time THE OPPRESSED has a better technical level and quality sound studio production, in comparaison with its first period 81-84.

THE OPPRESSED is a welsh anti-fascist Oi! band that formed in 1981 in Cardiff (United Kingdom). Most of the musicians in the band's various lineups were skinheads. Throughout the band's career, the members (especially vocalist Roddy Moreno) openly expressed opposition to racism and fascism — in their lyrics, interviews, on-stage comments and other actions. In 1989, Moreno visited New York City and met a few members of Skinheads Against Racial Prejudice (SHARP). On his return to the United Kingdom, he started promoting SHARP ideals to British skinheads. The band has also had ties to other anti-racist groups, such as Anti-Fascist Action. Moreno is a Cardiff City F.C. supporter, and some of the band's songs express that support. The band has split and re-formed several times. Their more recent split was in 2006, but they re-formed in 2009, and continue performing today. THE OPPRESSED 2015 line up features, alongside Roddy Moreno on vocals and guitar, Paul Cobley on bass and Tony Kizmus on drums. About this album untitled "Antifa hooligans" is not an official album itself, but rather a compilation with almost all 00's decade THE OPRESSED songs plus five covers: Sham 69, Los Fastidios, Hot Chocolate and The Maytals. Since 1994 the band has recorded a lot of EP's and splits next to the bands such as: Enraged Minority, The Bois, The Prowlers, Impact, Fatskins, Wasted Youth and even Cock Sparrer, but probably the better way to listen to all these songs recorded during last decade until its end is this compilation from 2011, firstly made as a vinyl EP with just four songs but after made as a long full album CD through german label "Mad Butcher Records" and catalan label "Red Star Records", nowadays still avaible in these two record labels.

Genre:  rock

Despite the album was issued late 2016, all songs were recorded live at Crash in Freiburg, Germany, November 24th 2012. There were two independent labels which made, distributed and promoted this release: "Aggrobeat Records" (from Netherlands) and "Rusty Knife Records" (from France) and the whole of the album is gratefuly good and more than satisfactory. Not a dirty, weird and lo-fi live concert recording but the opposite, an excellent collection of The Oppressed best songs since its beggining in 1982 until nowadays. All of them have a high quality in several senses: good technical level, good production and very clean sound.
