BLACK UNIFORMS was a Swedish metal punk band that started in 1981 and dissolved in 1990. They recorded two demo tapes and one album, and in 2001 the label "Hardcore Holocaust Records" decided to put all their songs toghether and make a CD with more than 60 minutes of music. BLACK UNIFORMS were not the typical American hardcore band of the late 80s as DRI or Agnostic Front. They did not sound as fast because they did not play hardcore, they even made a song against thinking "straight edge" and demanded the right to have fun with alcohol, drugs, etc. BLACK UNIFORMS were clear definition of punk and heavy metal sound as some contemporaries such as: GBH, English Dogs, Sacrilege, etc. Leaving aside the controversy with the "straight edge" ideas, their sound and music are curious cause these typical punk 82 rhythms with gutar riffs totally heavy.
