Second album of The Blood return in the 90's decade and we find here some kind of repetition of "smell " of 1996, but perhaps less inspired or less good. Despite this the band show us again its talent related to mix punk rock, heavy metal and classic rock, and about lyrics and aesthetics, they continue to make parodies and also denounces to religion, religion jerarchy, religion dogmas, etc. It doesn't disappoint at all for those who love its precedent albums.

Extra dimensional punk rock super classic gold medal: False Gestures For A Devious Public. One of my all-time favorite records, British punk at its best, and featuring Warfare's Evo on drums. This record has all the raw dirty grit necessary to qualify as "punk" and "classic", plus incredible choruses that stick forever on your neuron and that award it adjacent superlatives and totemic adulation. The other albums aren't as exceptional but still deliver a great deal of good hard rocking punk. For Trivial Pursuit evenings, you must know Se Parare Nex also features the Tank drummer and was produced by Cronos - and wins the "most crackling piece of vinyl" award in my entire collection, you might need a cleaner rip from somewhere else. Also, the False Gesture CD rip has one awful click, sorry. That being said, let's play False Gesture another million times. Have a nice fucking day.

"False gestures for devious public"
Year:  1982
Country:  UK
City:  London
Label:  Mad Butcher
Format:  CD , LP
Tracks:  14
Time:  40 min.
Genre:  rock
Style:         Punk  Metal

Repress of the first Blood album,100 in red wax, limited edition of 500.Red wax only from Mad Butcher Records ( HERE ). But the true is THE BLOOD recorded these songs during 1982 until one year later, when "Noise Records" decided to edited it. Later in 1990 was the turn of "Link Records" which also relleased the album on different formats. CD and LP but never on cassette format. Finally the german label "Mad Butcher" made two colours on vinyl (black and red). Musically already here THE BLOOD show us its talent to mix Oi! music with heavy metal or hard rock, not just in the musical field, but also in the lyrical themes (some one of them). A lot of guitars in all tracks, riffs and strong rhythmical drums. Nott speed but strong. Some tracks became as a classic hits such as: "Megalomania", "Stark raving normal" or "Such fun" (this last one appeared also in the Oi! music compilation "Oi! Oi! That's Yer Lot"). The whole is no doubt a good album and a true pioneer in this kind of "crossover" which was very popular late 80's but almost unknown in 1982.

"Vagabond Vendetta"
Format:  book
Pages:  150
Year:  2012
Country:  UK
City:  London
Editorial:  Kindle Edition
Autor:  Colin Smith

Vagabond Vendetta is a, sideways autobiographical fantasy written by The Cardinal - aka Colin Smith  the front man of the legendary, 1980s punk-band The Blood. The narrator begins his, bizarre story in the Hotel Apocalypse, which is located in the Republic of Frestonia – a free state which, literally seceded from the United Kingdom in 1977. This graceless, undignified off the wall chimera, is an excruciatingly ironic, and visionary crucifying lexicon of all that is canonized as holy, hallowed and sacred. Amongst many other, twisted vignettes the narrator - receives an, Ebenezer Scrooge style visitation from the spirit of Michael Cocaine - compels a homophobic Nazi-teen, Oswald Muesli, to play a street cameo role in a version of, Al Jolson's Mammy – seeks to execute several BBC DJs, and TV presenters, on the globally famous Top of the Pops stage, and thereafter becomes a serial killing, vigilante Coyote.
