THE RESTARTS line up is Kieran, Robin and Bram. THE RESTARTS Were Originally spawned out of the misanthropic haze looming around London in the mid 90's. The term 'Punk Rock' was the furthest thing from popular culture. New Punk bands lingered amongst the undergrowth where it squalid squatted NO Attracted media attention, far from today's media-hyped attempt to re-invent Punk as just another commodity to market. In the late 80's music as far as the press was concerned 'Punk' was just an insignificant anomaly That Would not DieKieran, Darragh and Mik all converged on the London Punk Scene in the late 80's. Were plenty Gigs and underground punk rock nihilism was at its frenzied height. Nearly half the Boroughs of Hackney and Wood Green Were squatted with reckless abandon. THE RESTARTS Formed and started gigging around East and South London's squats and pubs, This branched out to playing soon Bristol, Bath and Nottingham quite regularly. In 1995 the first demo was Recorded "jobclub" (11 songs) Which we self-released on cassette tape. Since then the band has experimented a great positive progression and nowadays with this "A sickness of the mind" we can to affirm they sound like or better than bands such as: GBH, Chaos UK, Varukers, English Dogs, etc. The musical style is usually an accelerated punk'82 but sometime they altern fragments of ska, oi! or hardcore. They sound fast and agressive but they has a thing which remind me the Chaos UK vocalist... a great sense of humour, jokes, etc. This humour and the fact they have always been in alternative labels become THE RESTARTS in a respectable band into the punk / hardcore scene. Great album
