"The Terror State" is the fourth full length album by Pittsburgh punk natives Anti-Flag; released October 21, 2003 on the label "Fat Wreck Chords" (own of Mike from NO FX). The album's artwork was regarded as somewhat controversial (Picturing lead vocalist Justin Sane's niece, Rachel, amongst rubble holding an automatic handgun), and the band was forced to create an alternate version (which was simply all black with the Terror State logo centered). for sale in some larger chain stores, such as Wal-Mart. Produced by Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello, "The Terror State" was hailed as Anti-Flag's most polished album to date. The album made #1 on KTUH's charts on the week of January 19, 2004. As of April 3, 2008, the album has sold 106.000 copies. Members include singer/guitarist Justin Sane, singer/bassist Chris Barker, guitarist Chris Head, and drummer Pat Thetic; Chris Barker (“Chris #2”) replaced original bassist Andy Flag in 1999. The band is known also for their advocacy of progressive political action groups such as Greenpeace and Amnesty International. Most recently, the band has focused criticism on the United States bailouts, which were executed to give massive portions of capital directly towards salvaging the national banks.

"Die for the Government" is the debut album by the U.S. punk band Anti-Flag, released in 1996. After this album, bassist Andy Flag played with Anti-Flag on their EP North America Sucks, but left soon after as they couldn't get along as a band. The CD booklet bids farewell to Andy Flag. The front cover gives the title "Die for the Government", but side of the CD reads "Die for Your Government". Also the "title track" is actually named You've Got to Die for the Government.

Centred around frontman Olga, he has never fallen short of providing the guitar-widdling madness that graces each record, as well as his own lyrical input into current topics clearly exemplified with their latest single release "Credit Crunch Christ". The new album features 13 of the band's latest cuts including alliterated highlights such as 'Dirty Doreen', 'Sciatica Sucks' and "Decca's Drinking Dilemma'. Formed in Sunderland, 1979, the Toy Dolls achieved recognition with their first album 'Dig That Groove Baby' in 1983 the band went on to find chart success with their 1984 cover of "Nellie the Elephant". Expect to see the band on their upcoming 2012-2013 tour 'The Tour After The Last One' to witness the bands onstage antics including choreographed dancing, spinning guitars and general punk folly.

After the album probably better TOY DOLLS "Absur-ditties", the band recorded "Orcastrated" almost identical to the previous album but maybe a little less good. In fact, the 3 albums: "Absur-ditties", "Orcastrated" and even "Megabyte" are almost identical: punk, heavy metal, classic / symphony music and lots of comedy and jokes. They are almost the same but there seems to be a slight downward line, I guess by exhaustion, fatigue and lack of creative ideas after being recording albums and playing concerts since 1979 without interruption. TOY DOLLS were definitely the only British punk band of the 80's who survived in the 90's and even had more popularity.

Absurd-Ditties is the seventh full-length album by the Punk band Toy Dolls. It is considered by many people, including vocalist and guitarist Olga, to be one of the band's best albums. I personally think the same. In 1993 I had some TOY DOLLS albums and this one came as fresh, new and high technical album. It seemed the band asked: Why punk bands must to sound bad? The style is like always, punk and comedy, but there are also another influences like heavy metal, classical music, symphony or pub rock. The band had a very good years from 1989 to 1995 in Europe, USA and Japan.

"Fat Bob's Feet" is a full-length album by the punk band Toy Dolls. It is one of the more popular pieces recorded by the band and included such punk favourites as Bitten by a Bed Bug, The Sphinx Stinks and bonus single A-side Turtles Crazy! that wasn't included in original album tracklist. Kids In Tyne & Wear is the reworking of Kim Wilde classic "kids in America", one most often covered songs by the punk rock bands. "Fat Bob's Feet" is a rare late The Toy Dolls album that doesn't contain any classic / symphony instrumental adaptation.

"Ten years of toys" is a wonderful TOY DOLLS album, if you like the TOY DOLLS. This is a kind of self-tribute and the band re-recorded its best 80s songs in one album. So you can hear sixteen classic tracks which sound different than the original ones. Very good sound prooduction, high technical level and electronic drums, couuld be some elements different than the precedent albums.  It includes such classics as "She goes to Finos" and "Harry Cross"(The catchiest song in the world!!) Another plus is that, if you ever wanted to hear Olga pretending to take a bath (I definitly have!), your prayers have finally been answered (Track 1- Florence is deaf). Warning: the TOY DOLLS are not for everyone. Some people are kind of surprised at the music. Don't buy the cd unless you have heard their music first.

"The Empire strikes first" is the thirteenth studio album by BAD RELIGION, released on June 8, 2004. The Empire Strikes First was released on June 8, 2004, and peaked at number 40 on the Billboard 200 album chart, the highest position the band had attained at the time. The album scored a minor radio hit with, "Los Angeles Is Burning", which also reached No. 40 on the Billboard modern rock tracks chart. In fact is not strange to read this information about good results and general opinion about "The Empire strikes first", because after four albums more or less good, this time BAD RELIGION recover its best hability to make excellent songs, mixing as always punk rock, hardcore and independent pop music. Apart music, BAD RELIGION is a band with a certain political element, social conscious and own ideas. They are not a political band in the sense of CRASS or Oi Polloi, for example, but in many songs, album titles and public declarations, they don´t shut about real life subjects. This "Empire strikes first" is not an exception, clearly. Here the band abandoned its deal with the mainstream "Atlantic" and return to independent label "Epitaph Records".

"The new america"
Year:  2000
Label:  Warner
Format:  CD , LP
Tracks:  13
Time:  40
Genre:  rock
Style:        melodic Hardcore

With Bad Religion slated to come out with a brand new album in October, with a brand new energetic drummer and a not-so-brand-new songwriter/guitarist (the return of Mr. Brett), I decided to review their last work. This was before the return of Brett Gurewitz (although he did write one song on this album with Greg Graffin) and this was when Bobby Schayer was still the drummer, and it was also their last release on a major label.

I've always considered their Epitaph works (Suffer, No Control, Against the Grain and Generator) to be their best pieces of work. Their very early stuff, which was covered in the compilation 80-85 was also good, but in a very different way. As soon as they moved to a major label, their sound changed dramatically. It wasn't a bad thing, really. It's not like they pulled a Sugar Ray and went from being a hardcore punk band into a complete pop band. Not to make fun of Sugar Ray, they really actually kind of sucked as a punk band. They're much better when they try not to rock. I'm going off on a tangent now, huh?

Back to Bad Religion. After a couple of releases on Atlantic Records, co-songwriter Brett Gurewitz quit the band. That, my friends, is when Bad Religion had yet another change in sound after Recipe for Hate and Stranger than Fiction both sat well with fans. When they released "The Gray Race", I was surprised. It was pretty good. The songwriting was less diverse, because while Graffin has a distinct style... so does Gurewitz, and the fans missed that. However, we were still hopeful because the band was claiming that their next release, "No Substance", was going to be more "old school" sounding, going back to the Recipe for Hate days. It didn't. While it wasn't a bad record, it sounded completely different. The writing, which made Bad Religion stand out from the crowd, seemed less... significant. The album as a whole was missing a few cylinders.

Now came this album, "The New America". When I first heard it, I can honestly say I didn't like it. I didn't start yelling sell-out just because it was slower, but I did yell stuff like crappy. However, after a few weeks of not listening to it and going to bed each night bitter... I decided to give it another try. Musically, it's quite a fine album. It's very melodic punk rock, and while the song-writing still is missing something (that something being Gurewitz), it was more intelligent and thought provoking than the last album. Here's a review-within-a-review of the songs. (Reviewer:  Damien Lynch ).

The Gray Race is the ninth full-length album of the punk rock band Bad Religion, which was released in 1996. It was the follow-up to the band's highly successful 1994 album Stranger Than Fiction. This was the band's first album not recorded with original guitarist Brett Gurewitz (since the 1984 EP Back to the Known) and is their first release with Brian Baker, who replaced him during the Stranger Than Fiction tour. It was also the first album since How Could Hell Be Any Worse? that the band recorded as a group. Part of the reason for this was financial, but frontman Greg Graffin also wanted to foster a sense of unity following Gurewitz's jarring departure. This was also the first album with which Graffin solicited the opinions of other band members before recording. Graffin said that collaboration significantly improved the sound and quality of the album. Although not as successful as Stranger Than Fiction, The Gray Race achieved modest success when MTV ran a commercial for the album during its release. The album was re-released by Epitaph Records on September 15, 2008.

"Stranger than Fiction" is the eighth full-length studio album (tenth release overall) by punk band BAD RELIGION, released in 1994. It was their first album released on the major label Atlantic Records (although that label re-released the previous album, Recipe for Hate) and also its last release with guitarist Brett Gurewitz, who left just prior to the 1994-1995 world tour, only to return to the band seven years later. On tour, Gurewitz was replaced by Brian Baker, who would stay with the band permanently. With sales continuing 20 years after its release, Stranger Than Fiction is one of Bad Religion's most successful albums, featuring two of their well-known hit singles, "Infected" and the re-recorded version of "21st Century (Digital Boy)", which both earned airplay on MTV and radio stations, such as KROQ. The album included one more hit single, "Stranger Than Fiction", though the last one, "Incomplete", failed to make any national chart. As of today, Stranger Than Fiction remains the only Bad Religion record to obtain gold status in the United States and Canada. The album was re-released by Epitaph Records on September 15, 2008. In 2009, Rhino Records released a colored vinyl to coincide with this album's 15th anniversary.

Recipe for Hate is Bad Religion's seventh full-length album, released on June 4, 1993. This was their last album on Epitaph Records and the band switched to Atlantic Records before its release. While the album was reissued on a major label, Recipe for Hate initially received mixed reviews from music critics, who generally found it to be less impressive than Bad Religion's past releases. Recipe for Hate was also the first Bad Religion album to chart in the U.S., debuting at #14 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart, with "American Jesus" and "Struck a Nerve" in particular becoming major rock radio hits at their time.

"Against the Grain" is the fifth album (and seventh release overall) by punk rock band Bad Religion released on November 23, 1990. This was the last album recorded with drummer Pete Finestone who left in 1991 to concentrate with his new project The Fishermen. Following his departure, the band's music would take a different direction on their next album, 1992's Generator. Against the Grain was also the first Bad Religion album not to feature a lineup change from after two consecutive studio albums. Like Bad Religion's previous two albums, Suffer and No Control, and future album, Generator, Against the Grain is considered by many to be the band's greatest album, and it contains many songs that are constantly cited as the band's best, including "Faith Alone", "21st Century (Digital Boy)", "Anesthesia", "Walk Away", "Against the Grain", "God Song" and "Modern Man". Despite no promotion by radio and television, Against The Grain managed to sell over 100,000 copies. A tiny part of the album's title track is played in a segment of the same name on The Dan Patrick Show.

"No Control" is the fourth album by political punk rock band BAD RELIGION, released on November 2, 1989 through Epitaph Records. Bad Religion began work on the album while touring in support of its previous album, "Suffer" (1988). "No Control" is stylistically faster than its predecessor, owing more to hardcore punk. Additionally, it was the first Bad Religion album not to feature a lineup change from after one consecutive studio album, and the band's second album (after 1983's "Into the Unknown") not to display their iconic font on the cover. "No Control" brought Bad Religion a small amount of success in Southern California as the band started to gather a following. The album has sold over 60,000 copies and is often considered to be a landmark in hardcore punk. Some also consider No Control to be their finest effort, containing "Change of Ideas", "Big Bang", "No Control", "I Want to Conquer the World" and "You", all of which are staples of their live show to this day.
