EXPIRATION as a band started playing primitive death metal in 1995 and evolutioned to fast, simple and direct grindcore with short songs and mince-core lyrics (social issues, politics, anti-war, animal liberation, etc.). Their last long album “If you mind there’s no problem…" (2000) is probably its best album and was made, distributed and promoted by the straight edge label “Fragment Records” in CD format. In this album the band name was changed as a kind of joke to “Xp.rätion”. After that they recorded an EP split with the belgian grindcore band Agathocles and finally in 2002, the four members decided to disband. Some EXPIRATION members founded later another band called “Looking for an Answer", which is still active and quite well known in the underground scene. This album is not the typical noisy and ultra lo-fi grindcore but a collection of eighteen songs with a good technical level, good sound and well produced, quite different than a lot of grindcore / noisecore bands from the 90s decade. Despite the result satisfactory and good, the album had not much popularity nor success and the band disbanded in 2002.
