Probably this is the best well known DUT recording ever, due no doubt the collaboration of the famous vocalist Fermin Muguruza, well known in the basque and also spanish musical scene for his participation in KORTATU during the 80s decade and NEGU GORRIAK in the 90s. He runed also two independent labels: "Esan Ozenki" and "Metak". Many people think the album is the best for this collaboration but I personally think DUT had already showed its great hability and talent with the two predecesors albums and this one is just a continuation of this excellent evolution. We can to listen to still influences of post-hardcore, metal and a kind of distorted pop, but also a really new and original rhythms (drums) which remind to drum & bass, "broken beats" or something like that. It was a surprise to listen to this album in 1997 and is still to do it. Special "bravo" for the drummer.

"At"
Year:  1996
Country:  Basque Country
City:  Hondarribiko (Gipuzkoa)
Label:  Esan Ozenki
Format:  CD
Tracks:  15
Time:  61 min.
Genre:  rock
Style:         Post Hardcore

This second DUT release was my first personal contact with this interesting and almost unknown band even in Spain. The first impression was they played a kind of  "new school" hardcore, beat-down or something like that, something which could be to remind bands like Snapcase or Earth Crisis. But after some listenings we can to discover few noise-pop influences, in particular of the legends Sonic Youth and Fugazi and its particular distortion and noise. Sometimes even the voice is also distorted. The tempo in general is slow, quiet and calm, but there is some kind of tension a soft agressivity not related to Pop but to Hardcore. The CD comes with a little booklet with lyric translations to spanish, french and english, so DUT sing in basque langue. The cover of the album was specially awesome and surprising. DUT had a sound similar to also basque band Berri Txarrak, but I ignore why that band had so big succes and not DUT... anyway  this is a very good recommandation to discover a little hidden gemm.
