"wild times again"
Year:  1988
Label:  Weser
Format:  CD, LP
Tracks:  15
Time:  35 min.
Genre:  rock
Style:         Punk  Rock

After their two first albums and an intense period of activity from 1976 to 1979. The Lurkers was also inactive until 1988. Nor albums neither live concert until 1988, when the original formation decided to come back and to give us this excellent present entitled "wild times again". The formule is the same exact than their two first albums, we mean punk rock, melody, clear voices and a lot of Ramones influence, both on music and lyrics. Nothing more nothing less.

"powerjive"
Year:  1990
Label:  Released Emotions
Format:  CD, LP
Tracks:  12
Time:  33 min.
Genre:  rock
Style:        Punk  Rock

This is the one of the most but the most Ramones influenced album of all The Lurkers discography. Voices, chorus, sound, tempo and music schedule is exactly to the New York punk rock maters Ramones. So this is some kind of clone or copy, but actually an excellent copy, taking care of all details, good melodies, guitars and non-stop Ramones tempo. Yeah that's all... but I like it!

Genre:  rock

Despite usually everybody consider its two first albums as essentials and best The Lurkers works, it's more than important do not forget this also essential "ripped and torn" from 1995, which then was not much succesful, but with the pass of the time has become as one of the best but the best The Lurkers album. Specially recommended for those who don't use to like this band and those lovers of classic 90s pop punk with optimisc lyrics and positive attitude.

"fried brains"
Year:  2008
Label:  North
Format:  CD , LP
Tracks:  14
Time:  36 min.
Genre:  rock
Style:        Punk  Rock

Their tongues may or may not be firmly in cheek, but the opening crash of Fried Brains, the first new Lurkers studio album in way too long, sums up the way a lot of people feel. "All new music is a bore, just need what I've heard before...same old songs from the early days will keep me happy to my grave." All set to the same wave of crashing guitar and percussion that made the band what it was in the first place, "Come and Reminisce" is the kind of statement of intent that lets you know exactly what you're going to get from Fried Brains, and the band does not disappoint. This is the album the Lurkers could and should have made the first time around, and maybe they did. Certainly there's no musical indications that 30 years divide Fried Brains from Fulham Fallout, beyond the occasional lyrical nod to the passing of time, while the subject matter includes an ode to a clapped-out tour bus ("Sick Transit") and a sorrowful lament for a teenaged love affair ("Punk Rock Brought Us Together [But Country Tore Us Apart]"), alongside more serious stabs at animal cruelty (the chilling "Revenge of the Dogs") and social disorder ("Time to Wake Up"). See, even the songs could have come out of a timewarp, and that's exactly how it ought to be. Too many reunited bands set out to rewire their pasts, without even thinking about why people might care that they re-formed in the first place. That's why, again in the words of "Come and Reminisce," "I won't even buy new stuff by the bands I used to love." Fried Brains might be the exception that proves the rule (*Review by Dave Thompson ).

"the future is calling"
Year:  2016
Label:  Drumming Monkey
Format:  CD, LP
Tracks:  14
Time:  36 min.
Genre:  rock
Style:         Pop Punk

After eight years of complete silence, The Lurkers come back again with a new album, this time made trough label "Drumming Monkey"  owned by Die Toten Hosen Drummer Steve "Vom" Ritchie. The veteran and original line up of 1976 make again a fistful of good songs of melodic and mid-tempo punk rock more or less similar to their two first albums.
