Here we have (in my subjective opinion) the best SUBTERRANEAN KIDS album and also sadly, the most underrated of all its discography. The band recorded it in 1991 in few days and a new label called "Overdrive Records" was charged to release the album, to distribute it and to promote it. Despite this is the album with best quality sound, technical level and studio production, it had not the same succes than its predecessor "Hasta el final" (1989) and "Overdrive Records" perhaps didn't want to spend to much money in its promotion, etc. Anyway the label made a promo single with two songs ("No Digas" and "Paranoid") to send to radio-shows, fanzines, etc. Musically "Ya no hay tiempo" keep one eye in the american old school hardcore (Bad Brains, Minor Threat, MDC...) and the other eye a little bit in the new "alternative rock" bands from early 90s like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Primus, funk, pop-punk, etc. Somewhere between the old school hardcore bands and the future new school hardcore bands, not yet arrived in 1990.

"hasta el final"
Year:  1989
Label:  La isla de la Tortuga
Format:  CD, LP
Tracks:  14
Time:  28 min.
Genre:  rock
Style:        Hardcore  Punk

Iconic landmark album of the group, the pioneers in bringing spanish hardcore music in 1984 and added a fact, the first conducted in the beginning of the Straight Edge: rejection of drugs, alcohol and a self-destructive lifestyle and pessimistic point of view of life (sponsored by The Exploited and similar punk bands) . They flip the scene HC/punk opt for a healthy, optimistic and constructive . Sending a clear missatje to " destroy the system , but not yourself .) Another concept that brought the punk / hardcore was to foster team spirit , group of fraternity and remove spirit indivualista and " Me being so damn everything and everyone " characterized by Sid Vicious and others. took the general idea that punk was "No Future... destroy ", replacing it with the "Yes, there is future". But we must build ourselves and we do not expect the resolve. "Constructivism = organized groups, making fanzines, radio shows and concerts". Musically and commercially the album had very bad luck... Published in 1989 the music and lyrics were great, but the production and general sound were completely: inaudible, noisy, distortioned and excessive treble extreme. Shit sound was much injured and that the SUBTERRANEAN  KIDS  at the very moment everyone was talking about them. Fortunately 10 years after (in 1999) label "Tralla Records" remixed the whole album again in the "Marathon Studio" by Antoni Prió, who did a very good job and get "Hasta el final" enjoyed a good quality. But the band was already dissolved. In 2008 SUBTERRANEAN  KIDS they were come back and since then have made many live concerts in Spain and also in the rest of western Europe .
