"let's go!"... here we go with new stuff of veterans Monstruacion. they started in 1984 in the industrial, working class and quite poor city: Cornellà (near from Barcelona). Quickly the became as a fast punk or hardcore as most of Barcelona bands. They debut cassette became of a total classic for punks spanish speakers and now (in 2017) they are come back with new album under the arm. They sound perhaps slowier, cleanier and a little bit more melodic, still hardcore but closer to punk, hard rock and even some reggae touches. Lyrics are sung in both, spanish and catalan, and distribution, edition and price are totally alternative as always. Excellent

MONSTRUACION is a band that only recorded two albums between 1984 and 1992, but even
so, they marked a lot the hardcore punk movement of Catalonia. One
of its members is Josep Urpí Gausachs , who had already
formed part of the legendary bands like Anti- Dogmatiks,
Subterranean Kids or L' Odi Social, to name the most popular. The
first MONSTRUACION album was actually a cassette recorded in poor
conditions and very low budget. Above but his energy and their lyrics were well received by the youth, some songs became anthems of the hardcore punk scene of 80s, 90s and even nowadays. Anecdotally mention the ultra-fast Bob Dylan cover "Times are changing" which was sung many
Saturday nights for punks, squatters, dreadlocks and hardcore kids from 1986 to the present. Their second album
was infinitely less popular but paradoxically musically enjoyed greater
originality, technical quality and production work study. In 2010 MONSTRUACION come back and they still play live concerts.
