Centred around frontman Olga, he has never fallen short of providing the
guitar-widdling madness that graces each record, as well as his own
lyrical input into current topics clearly exemplified with their latest
single release "Credit Crunch Christ". The new album features
13 of the band's latest cuts including alliterated highlights such as
'Dirty Doreen', 'Sciatica Sucks' and "Decca's Drinking Dilemma'. Formed
in Sunderland, 1979, the Toy Dolls achieved recognition with their
first album 'Dig That Groove Baby' in 1983 the band went on to find
chart success with their 1984 cover of "Nellie the Elephant". Expect
to see the band on their upcoming 2012-2013 tour 'The Tour After The
Last One' to witness the bands onstage antics including choreographed
dancing, spinning guitars and general punk folly.

One More Megabyte is a studio album by the English punk band Toy Dolls, recorded in 1997. It is a loose concept album in the fact that most of the album's lyrics are relate to computers, such as the title track and "Mega Outro".

After the album probably better TOY DOLLS "Absur-ditties", the band recorded "Orcastrated" almost identical to the previous album but maybe a little less good. In fact, the 3 albums: "Absur-ditties", "Orcastrated" and even "Megabyte" are almost identical: punk, heavy metal, classic / symphony music and lots of comedy and jokes. They are almost the same but there seems to be a slight downward line, I guess by exhaustion, fatigue and lack of creative ideas after being recording albums and playing concerts since 1979 without interruption. TOY DOLLS were definitely the only British punk band of the 80's who survived in the 90's and even had more popularity.

Absurd-Ditties is the seventh full-length album by the Punk band Toy Dolls. It is considered by many people, including vocalist and guitarist Olga, to be one of the band's best albums. I personally think the same. In 1993 I had some TOY DOLLS albums and this one came as fresh, new and high technical album. It seemed the band asked: Why punk bands must to sound bad? The style is like always, punk and comedy, but there are also another influences like heavy metal, classical music, symphony or pub rock. The band had a very good years from 1989 to 1995 in Europe, USA and Japan.

"Fat Bob's Feet" is a full-length album by the punk band Toy Dolls. It is one of the more popular pieces recorded by the band and included such punk favourites as Bitten by a Bed Bug, The Sphinx Stinks and bonus single A-side Turtles Crazy! that wasn't included in original album tracklist. Kids In Tyne & Wear is the reworking of Kim Wilde classic "kids in America", one most often covered songs by the punk rock bands. "Fat Bob's Feet" is a rare late The Toy Dolls album that doesn't contain any classic / symphony instrumental adaptation.

"Ten years of toys" is a wonderful TOY DOLLS album, if you like the TOY DOLLS. This is a kind of self-tribute and the band re-recorded its best 80s songs in one album. So you can hear sixteen classic tracks which sound different than the original ones. Very good sound prooduction, high technical level and electronic drums, couuld be some elements different than the precedent albums. It includes such classics as "She goes to Finos" and "Harry
Cross"(The catchiest song in the world!!) Another plus is that, if you
ever wanted to hear Olga pretending to take a bath (I definitly have!),
your prayers have finally been answered (Track 1- Florence is deaf).
Warning: the TOY DOLLS are not for everyone. Some people are kind of
surprised at the music. Don't buy the cd unless you have heard their
music first.
