ITOIZ are one of the best-known Basque bands outside their homeland. They have released a number of albums, starting with "idem" in 1978, combining Basque folk music with elements of progressive rock and jazz.
For their debut, their style could be called progressive rock, though
later albums tend to feature simpler arrangements. ITOIZ recorded two albums more, carry on prog rock, jazz and folk until 1983 when the band turn to more modern sounds (then) which can to remind new wave or typical 80s pop music. With songs shorter, more simple and more "easy" to listening for everyone, including even some electronic sounds or effects.
